I. Yūrei
There are many different types, but it all depends on how they died. They often take the form of their former selves, dressed in the clothes that they died or were buried in. They interact with humans in a variety of ways. Either phantom lights or invoking serious curses. They aren't usually seed wandering around, sticking to their old household or place of death.
I. inugami
Dog spirits that were often found in the households of wealthy people. They served their masters with extreme loyalty unless treated poorly. They were treated just like family, which is usually why they quickly did their master's bidding. Inugamis were known to bring good luck and fortune to the families, but sometimes they caused the family to fall into ruins. They're said to be masters of black magic, often possessing people or inanimate objects. Though practicing black magic was highly illegal, and if they were caught, them and their owners were forced to leave their estate and live on the outskirts of town in exile.
I. BAKENEKO
Cat spirits that are very different from Inugamis. At first they are ordinary house cats, but after living a long time, they gain supernatural powers. It allows them the ability to become yōkai. They grow up to the size of humans, and disguise themselves as such. Bakenekos also have the ability to eat anything bigger than them, even if it be poisonous. They're known to eat their masters, and if they don't, they bring misfortune to them. After they eat their humans, they have been known to take on their form and live on as them.
I. kitsune
There are two types of Kitsune. The kind shrine servants who work for the Shinto deity Inari. They acted as messengers between humans and the gods. This type was also known to protect humans, provide good luck, and ward off evil spirits. The other type is known as the forest kitsune, who were quite mischievous. They love pranks and often possess humans, causing them to act strangely. Despite their behavior, they keep their promises, remember friendship, and repay any favors done to them. Kitsune are very intelligent and make for powerful shapeshifters, often causing problems with humans by shapeshifting into fearsome creatures.
II. humans
Beings without any sort of power who used to live alongside with the spirits before kicking them out of their village. They have no special powers and aren't really intimidating. They often fall victim to the pranks, curses or misfortune of the spirits around them.
