PERSONALITY You can either write out a list (five positive and five dislikes minimum) or write out at least a paragraph, or both. Whatever fancies your taste. A table has been made for you if you want to use the list, but remove it if you don't use it.

HISTORY Minoru was born to a high-class family in Asuka village, one involved in politics. He was born as Mamoru Tetsutani, though later on he woudl change his name. Regularly Minoru's family would take positions such as Mayor, or other positions within the government of the village. When Minoru was born his family was overjoyed, and they raised him with love. However, just because everything seemed good that didn't mean everything was good. Behind the scenes Minoru's father was involved in illegal deals with yakuza gangs. These deals were never anything that involved illegal substances such as drugs, but it did involve money. A lot of money. Money that Minoru's family would spend on things such as political campaigns, in exchange they would do a few political favors for the yakuza. This deal lasted quite a while, and without Minoru knowing anything about it. His parents actually hid it from him, not wanting him to know about what was going on for his own safety. But alas, when Minoru was 20 his parents couldn't fulfill one of their promises to the yakuza. Minoru had left for college by that time, attending the University of Tokyo's political science class. When summer break came around Minoru came back to Asuka to visit his parents. Little did he know that this was when the yakuza would come around and act on their anger. At night the yakuza broke into Minoru's home and started looting the place, trying to get their money's worth back. Minoru woke up at the wrong time, and went down. When the yakuza saw him, they attacked him. He was shot with a pistol once in the head, the bullet going through his right eye and out of the left side of his skull. Minoru died instantly, the last thing he saw before dying being the sight of his killer. The last thing Minoru remembered was a burning rage at these people, who had tresspassed and now had killed. When the world went black Minoru fully expected to end up on the other side. That is not what happened. Instead, he found himself in the forest. Initially he was confused as to what had just happened. The first thing he realized was that, despite the fact that he remembered being shot, his injuries had all healed with the notable exception of his right eye (which had not come back). Then he found himself with powers that he couldn't explain, and a burning desire to kill the men responsible for his death. This frightened Minoru, who had always been one who wanted to help others. The thought that he now wanted to kill someone frightened him. Not long after that, Minoru found that he had a short temper, something that previously he did not have. He went to a nearby shrine, trying to figure out what had happened to him. He came across a few books and read them, coincidentally learning about the goryo. He wasn't able to stay at the shrine for very long for he left at the first sign that someone was coming, but he stayed long enough to learn what the goryo were. From there he went back into the forest, starting a long journey for him to come to terms with what he had become. It took a while, but eventually he was able to start controlling his temper, although he could still be easily angered Minoru thought it was better than nothing. He started learning to control the powers he had acquired. Eventually, he thought that he had come to terms with what he had become, although some might dispute this. Eventually Minoru decided to move back into town. He took a job as a cashier at a local convenience store, and then rented out a small apartment. Both of these were as close to his old home as he could get. He also changed his name, going by Minoru instead of his original name Mamoru in an attempt to avoid arousing people's suspicion. He also managed to buy a glass eye in order to hide the fact that his right eye was missing. | ||||||||

Alright, a few side notes because while goryo here I'm using as a type of yurei, there are some important differences that I want to note, differences that arise because in Japanese literature they are treated as two different things.
First off, the goryo are spirits born from a desire for revenge. I am using this here as an explanation as to why they don't appear like traditional yurei. Since they want revenge on a specific person (or group of people), they would be able to move about away from where they died.
Secondly, the goryo can be quite strong spirits at times. I am using this to explain why Minoru doesn't take the standard semi-transparent appearance that most yurei take. Goryo can be so strong that they are sometimes made into Shinto deities, as was the case with Tenjin (originally the spirit of Sugawara no Michizane). You can look up the full story behind Tenjin's origins yourself if you really feel you need to.
So, hopefully that answers some questions that may pop up. Feel free to ask me any more if you have any.
