Born and bred into their trade, Toui growing up had a tumultuous upbringing - but unlike some he was one of the fortunate. He was the middle of the litter living on expanded ancestral grounds that housed antique shrines, but few of his extended pack. Life was never so simple as it was here, if not static with tedium.

As per his nature, he strayed far from his shrine with such uncharacteristic focus that wouldn't have broken until he found himself well and lost. The inugami could play the loyal dog and in the same breath turn stiff and steel on hunts contracting down to sharp eyes and sharper teeth. After some time begging to earn his keep on a remote estate, he fell into favor of one of the priest's sons and soon possessed him down a pathway of his and his kin's ruin. He parted ways with the wilderness and ambled into city, Toui's focus was dead on serving no one, until his release in death.
